Happy Monday, friends!
I am thrilled to finally be sharing a very special shoot with all of you! It has recently been featured over on The Perfect Palette! Please, please, please head on over there after you’ve finished viewing this post and check it out! We, myself and our talented team of vendors, are so proud of this shoot and are so honored that Chrissy at The Perfect Palette chose to feature it last Friday. Yay!

Nearly half a year ago a team of talented wedding industry creatives/vendors and myself joined together on a rainy and overcast day (…With a chance of thunderstorms! Yikes!) to create something beautiful at The McGarity House in Temple, Georgia. More about our shoot…
For the table scape in The McGarity House‘s dining area we focused on delicate pale pink and gold accents, antique pieces, and organic foliage. Lisa (Thorne & Thistle) surprised us by making our floral-adorned chandelier dreams come true! Also, her skilled draping of the greenery off of the wooden sweetheart table provided by The McGarity House was so lovely. Katy (Made To Flourish Calligraphy) designed name cards- and an invitation suite as well- specifically for the shoot- gold ink for lettering and detailing. The Vintage Rental Co.’s cream arm chairs were a perfect neutral for the shoot as they helped maintain the focus on the tablescape and provided a modern elegance.
We wanted our cake to have a bit of whimsy to it, and decided that dripping gold accents on a cake would fit perfectly. Candi (Sweet Creations by Candi) did such a beautiful job with the wedding cake! I decided that the cake and dessert cart (Vintage Rental Co.) would look absolutely lovely illuminated by the natural window light provided by one of the older windows with decorative stained glass in The McGarity House.
The second area we used at The McGarity House was an upstairs room used often by brides as they get ready for their wedding day. It includes a gorgeous faux fireplace with a mantle adorned by vintage tea pots. We really wanted to make use of this room- as it’s light was gorgeous despite the mucky weather outside. Cathy (Cathy Nugent- Wedding With A Hosting Heart) draped a glittery piece of fabric over a couch provided by The Vintage Rental Co. and decorate with candelabras, glass candle holders, and trays of pink macaroons (which were absolutely delicious and unexpected- thank you, Sweet Creations By Candi!). We envisioned this as a dream-like moment that our bride might take a moment to savor the present and indulge a little bit during this romantic affair.
Lastly, Katy (our model as well as calligrapher) looked gorgeous in our Gold Lace Catherine Gown by Erin Fetherston. One big reason we went with this dress was because it gave us that air of whimsy we wanted, while maintaining a delicate, feminine feeling. Our HMUA was our planner, Cathy, as she is quite the renaissance woman and has a history of doing hair and make up in the past. Thankfully, between clouds and rainy patches we were able to run outside and explore The McGarity House‘s gorgeous property and wrap around porch as we captured this whimsical bridal look.
Take a look yourself…
